Practical Training Course Terms & Conditions of Service

PRACTICAL TRAINING
It must be recognised that boating is by its nature an unpredictable sport and therefore inherently involves an element of risk. By taking part in the course, you agree and acknowledge that:

  • You are aware of the inherent element of risk involved in the sport and you accept responsibility exposing yourself to such inherent risk whilst taking part in the course.
  • You will comply at all times with the instructions of the centre staff particularly with regard to handling of boats, wearing of buoyancy aids, lifejackets and the wearing of suitable clothing for the conditions.
  • You accept responsibility for any injury, damage or loss to the extent caused by your own negligence.
  • You will not participate in the course whilst your ability to skipper or crew a boat is impaired by alcohol, drugs or whilst otherwise unfit to participate.
  • Nautical Circle will provide all safety equipment required but you are responsible for providing suitable clothing for the course and weather conditions.
  • Nautical Circle will provide comprehensive joining instructions prior to the start of your course. Including directions and the relevant health declarations in force at the time.


CANCELLATION POLICY

  • You understand that the course may be cancelled or postponed at any stage in the event of bad weather, equipment failure or otherwise.
  • Should a course be delayed or postponed in the 24 hours prior to the commencement of your course or within the duration of the course due to weather, mechanical breakdown or any other reason, any time or sessions missed will be provided by mutual consent later that day or on another day. Students should not lose course time without a replacement period of training.
  • In the event of a cancellation of your course by us, (Nautical Circle) more than 24 hours prior to the scheduled commencement of the course. Nautical Circle Training will refund any payments made. Or if preferred, we will hold over any payments until another mutually suitable course date can be arranged.
  • In the event that you cancel the booking more than 21 days prior to the course commencement date, Nautical Circle will repay all monies paid over less the cost of any books or material supplied to you. If preferred, payments may be held over until another mutually suitable date.
  • In the event that you cancel your booking in the period less than twenty one (21) days prior to the course commencement date, Nautical Circle Training will retain all monies paid over to cover expenses incurred and possible loss of revenue. However of monies retained will be allowed as a credit against the course fee for any future bookings you may make.


MISCONDUCT

  • Inappropriate behaviour cannot be accepted. You understand that the staff at Nautical Circle may exclude anyone who does not comply with these Registration Terms or who misconducts themselves in any way.


CONSENT

  • The completion of the online booking form relating to your course acts as confirmation of agreement to these terms and conditions of service. Please ensure that you agree with these conditions prior to booking your course.


TRAINING FEES

Payment for your course is due in full at the time of booking subject to the above terms & conditions. An invoice for the training fee will be provided on request or please use the payment details below.
